The Hitachi brand has introduced new power tools to its product range: the SV15YC orbital sander and the DH40MC hammer drill. The new sander features a more ergonomic design, a 150 mm sanding plate, and an increased orbital movement of up to 6.2 mm. The new hammer drill is the successor to the DH38MS model. It offers higher power of 1100 W and reduced vibration levels. 

Fast drilling/chiseling and easy operation 

The Hitachi DH40MC rotary hammer drill is a classic tool designed for hammer drilling and chiseling. It is the successor of the DH38MS model. The DH40MC hammer drill features a traditional brushed motor with increased power (1100 W) compared to previous models, delivering an impact energy of 8.5 J (measured according to EPTA). The Hitachi hammer drill is suitable for drilling in concrete with drill bits up to 40 mm in diameter and core bits up to 105 mm. When chiseling, the operator can set the chisel in 12 positions, making it easier to reach the surface being worked on. The SDS Max chuck has been designed so that there is no need to pull back the collar during accessory installation—simply insert the drill bit or chisel into the chuck, and the operator will hear a distinctive “click,” indicating proper attachment. Only when removing the accessory is it necessary to retract the chuck. The DH40MC rotary hammer drill also features reduced vibration compared to previous models, significantly improving comfort and safety during use. Additional advantages include large, easy-to-use switches and handles covered with polyamide resin to prevent slipping. It is important to remember during operation that the side handle is not decorative—both main and side handles must be held to ensure the SDS Max hammer drill stays firmly in hand, even in challenging positions such as when working on scaffolding. Comfortable and efficient sanding 

The Hitachi SV15YC orbital sander is equipped with a sanding plate suitable for 150 mm sanding paper (attached with hook-and-loop fastening). Previously, users could choose between two models, SV13YB and SV13YA, which operated with 125 mm papers. The new sander stands out with improved ergonomics, perfectly fitting the user’s hand. If the operator is working with the SV15YC sander and the front handle makes it difficult to access certain areas, they can easily remove the handle without tools, facilitating sanding in those areas. Additionally, for full control of the tool, it features a body covered with anti-slip elastomer material. The Hitachi SV15YC orbital sander includes electronic speed control ranging from 4200 to 11000 rpm, as well as adjustable orbital movement from 2.8 to 6.2 mm. The maximum rotational speed of 11000 rpm is achievable thanks to the TurboBoost function. The durability of the device is ensured by a new-generation, overload-resistant motor, a stable aluminum flange with appropriate bearings, and an optimized dust extraction system with the possibility of connecting a vacuum cleaner (a dust collection bag, which is included, can be used instead of a vacuum cleaner).
